Klövern’s income tax return for the 2003 year of assessment

After the end of the 2003 period of assessment, Klövern claimed, as previously announced, a deduction for capital loss on divestment of a subsidiary at an additional SEK 5,000 million (approximately). The claim is being treated formally as a request for reconsideration of the tax assessment for 2003. The Swedish Tax Agency has notified that they will not take a position on the claimed deduction in 2005, but expect to do so during 2006.
