Klövern signs a six-year lease with the Uppsala County Administrative Board
Klövern has signed a six-year lease with the County Administrative Board for modern office premises in central Uppsala. The lease contract consists of around 3,800 sq.m. and a total rent for the period of almost SEK 50 million.
The approximately 200 workplaces will have a modern office solution, including efficient meeting spaces. There will also be archive and special purpose areas as well as offices. The property, Posthuset (the former post office building) is located in central Uppsala, right by the central station, Uppsala city hall and the new travel interchange. The County Administrative Board is expected to move into the premises during the spring of 2015.
This will be the starting shot for the refurbishment of the old Posthuset. An additional two storeys will be added to the existing building and a completely new building will be built in the courtyard in a subsequent separate phase. In all, this will mean that the area of the premises will be doubled from the present approximately 9,000 sq.m. to over 18,000 sq.m. Negotiations are in process with other interested parties with regard to the other spaces.
